Ethiopia: the case of women domestic workers in Lebanon.

In the beginning, the Ethiopia project was (and still is) a working group on women migration. For a more detailed account on our fieldwork project read on here (English version) and here (Italian) or take a look at Maidinbeirut.

Alongside this precise project, we were specially interested in the Rastafarian community in Shashemene, Ethiopia, as a special case of migration.

This blog was created in october 2007, right before leaving for Ethiopia.  It was meant to keep track of our progress and keep friends/families informed of our trip in Ethiopia during november 2007.

Now that we are back, it is also an archive and the continuation of our curiosity for the country, a reflection and the fruit of our work. Read on.
