About Us

Addis Abeba – The New Flower

In analogy to the research conducted during the spring of 2003 on the issue of migrant women working as domestic workers in Beirut, Lebanon, this time we will investigate and film in Addis Ababa. We will visit different organizations and structures that work with migrant women, but as in Beirut, the conducting thread will be the women themselves. A qualitative method is chosen, trying to film various half-structured interviews with women, some who are preparing to go, some who have come back, to know more on women’s ambitions and dreams before their migration and what has become of them upon return.

Apart from this, we hope to enjoy Ethiopia during our stay, november 2007.
